Letters of this type in the financial industry are titled as “Letter of Instruction” because they usually contain directives in relation to financial accounts that you as an account holder (or agent) expect to be followed and implemented both correctly and in a timely fashion. You are directing in writing, “here are your written instructions”, as such. A closer look at Form 56 is posted HERE.

Prose:

Prose:
Along with the creation and initiation of the Treasury Direct account mentioned above, associate a debit card connected to the created account and forward to the address indicated on this letterhead.
Give them a time period to comply or refute your claim in writing. “If you have no right to these terms, let them indicate why.” Failure to refute your claim is proof of your claims. Note the return mailing, post mark, addressee, and signature for irregularities.
If you choose not to implement these steps as directed, please communicate in writing your explanation and basis within 7 days of the date of this letter.
